From Hippos Pods to Lazy Crocodiles
From hippo pods to lazy crocodiles, the very best way to get up, close and personal with the animals that spend long days in the water, is on one of our guided boat safaris. You might even catch a breath-taking sunset too.
The Zambezi River is best explored by boat. Our custom fitted pontoon boats are stable and secure providing a perfect platform for photographic opportunities, fishing or just simple appreciation. Relax of an afternoon, lulled by the gentle lap of the river, watching elephant crossing the river from island to island, witness the amusing politics of hippo pod life and feel goose bumps rise with the keening call of a fish eagle, all interspersed with the clink of ice cubes in your drink and lit by the slowly sinking sun.
What kind of boat will we be in?
To give you the best experience on the great Zambezi River, we use either flat-hulled, aluminium boats with 60-horsepower Mercurys, or a fibre-glass pontoon.
When can I enjoy a boat trip?
Boat trips happen all through the day, all times offering different viewing pleasure and the wonderful sounds of nature. We pack cooler boxes full of tasty snacks and tea or coffee for refreshment along the way.
Do you have safety precautions on the boats?
Each one of our boats is equipped with life jackets, fire extinguishers, 2-way radios and an anchor. The boats are between three and four years old, and are serviced every two months to make sure they’re in tip-top form.
